Summer Time Reminders

Summer is here and the kids are out of school.  Please be aware that children don’t always use the best of judgment when it comes to safety.  Be on the lookout for children running after the wayward toy or chasing the ice cream truck across the street.  Also please slow down and drive with caution.  The speed limit in the Hamlet is 25mph.  Also be aware of water hazards. Kiddie pools, buckets of water, and any puddle that is 3 inches deep are drowning hazards.  Let’s make this summer a safe and fun one for everyone.

Vacant Buildings,

Buildings/properties that are/or Vacant deteriorating  depreciate the value of the neighborhood.  They attract criminal activity and neighborhood vandalism.  There is a City of Dover ordinance that addresses these concerns.  If you see any property that appears as such contact the City's Inspections Department at (302) 736-7010.

Electric Problems at the Club House

During the severe December snow storm and freezing weather the Hamlet Club House experienced an electrical problem by which half of the electrical system became inoperable.  The heater was not operable thus in-dangering freezing pipes and equipment.  The repair estimates ranged from  $2,300.00 to 1,745.00.  We incurred the expense of 1,745.00 to repair the damage by installing a new and more efficient electrical conduit.
