Quarterly Meeting of the Hamlet Home Owners Association.
April 20, 2010
Called to order at 6:34pm.
Representative Darryl Scott came and spoke to those in attendance about items ranging from the hands free law to education.
The budget for the Association is still in the works. The board is disappointed in the amount of assessments received at time of the meeting. As of the meeting only 57% of assessments had been received. 15% of home owners are between $1267 to $3750 behind in their assessments while 12% are $486 to $942 behind. This makes creating a budget difficult. The board is looking into hiring a collection agency to collect the back dues. The board is planning to send out 2 hand delivered warnings.
The board is working very hard to open the pool for at least a limited time this summer. But this is hampered by the lack of assessments paid.
The board did hear complaints about children playing in the streets. There is a city ordinance that if they are causing a hazardous situation that the police should be called. More information to come on the different city ordinances on the web site. It was also discussed the idea of looking for ways to build or improve the current playground to make it more age appropriate for the older children of the Hamlet.
Meeting closed at 8:26pm
